Ute Ploier`s collection AW12/13 is about going back to the roots of life.

The collection was inspired by a trip to the mountains and staying there for 10
days without electricity, internet or hot water.

Life up there has a rough and elementary beauty.

It brings you to think and experience  in new ways different from urban everyday-life.

However, such a radical change of life on a permanent level is not possible.

The collection is about bringing this rough, elementary feeling into today`s urban,
high-tech and high-speed life and creating a fusion between those 2.

Refined taylored pieces are reworked with a comfy and masculine touch.

Rough, raw-edge details are introduced into perfectly finished suits, shirts or pants.

Functional elements such as massive zippers or snap-buttons are used in classic
trenchcoats or fine wool coats.

The materials of the collection are a mix of those 2 worlds as well.

Fine suiting in salt n`pepper, heavy cotton, washed museline, flanel, delavé
corduroy, alpaca knit, mohair, leather and rubber.
