On Thursday, September 6th at 11:00
AM at The Stage at The Tents at Lincoln Center, designer Richard Chai debuted
his Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

Light and transparency was the inspiration behind
the season.

Womenswear was sporty and sexy with lightweight
fabrics executed in interesting cuts.

The prints were classic to Chai’s aesthetic and
added to the ease and youth of the collection. He also added looks that could
translate day to night with holographic sequins and intricately detailed lame
tops.

Menswear was also light and refreshing with powder
blue, white, and grey suit jackets in nylon and cotton, sheer polos and button
downs.

An after party was hosted in partnership with EFFEN
Vodka and Catch.

About
Richard Chai

Richard Chai, a New York native, began his career in
fashion at an early age with a prestigious internship at Geoffrey Beene as an
undergraduate at Parsons School of Design.

Officially launched in June 2008 for Spring 2009,
Richard Chai launched his eponymous menswear collection with a presentation
during Paris Fashion Week. As with his womenswear, Chai takes an architectural
approach with his menswear. Design signatures such as arced seams, intriguing
fabric treatments and eclectic color palettes lend a distinctly modern flair
while keeping in tune with the classic heritage of old world tailoring and
craftsmanship.
