London-based Indian designer Nimesh Gadhia is not the typical designer as he works in pharmacy from nine to five and designs after hours.
Nimesh became a pharmacist to fulfill his parent’s desires; afterwards he obtained a Master’s Degree in Fashion Design and Enterprise, launching his label Posthuman Wardrobe in 2010.
Because of his scientific training, Nimesh’s designs follow a scientific approach and are clean, sculptural, and mechanical but—most of all—functional.
But I cannot fathom how he does it! On his feet for hours, consulting customers and filling prescriptions. Then to take off the lab coat to cut patterns and sow?
I am deeply inspired by the passion, dedication, and tenacity of Nimesh to pursue his dreams and interests.
Nimesh Gadhia—another example of a great menswear pioneer! Have a look at his spring/summer 2013 collection and see for yourself.
